About these courses

Practical AI is an independent learning resource: two 8-class courses, AI Literacy for non-technical learners and AI Engineering for technical ones. It is not affiliated with, and does not represent the views of, any organization, company or AI provider mentioned in it.

Data

All organizations, places, people and figures in examples and in the SitRep case study are fictional, or taken from public sources where stated.

Never paste confidential, personal or sensitive data into an AI tool unless your organization has explicitly approved that tool for that kind of data.

Time-sensitive content

AI changes quickly. Model names, product features, laws and framework recommendations are marked "as of 2026". Concepts change far more slowly, and they are the focus of these courses: computational thinking, prompts, context, harnesses, loops, evaluation and security.

Using the site offline

The site is also published as a zip file on the project's Releases page. Unzip it anywhere and open index.html in a web browser. No internet connection or installation is needed. Search, quizzes and progress tracking all work offline, and progress is stored only in your own browser.

Editions

  • Learner edition (this website): everything learners need.
  • Instructor edition (zip on the Releases page): adds facilitation guides with timings, demo scripts, common misconceptions and quiz answer rationale.
